Work Environment

Your work at our facility will be onsite within a hospital environment, which allows for close collaboration with healthcare professionals and access to advanced medical resources. The clinic operates Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, ensuring a balanced work-life dynamic while facilitating consistent patient care. Key Responsibilities

• Assist licensed physical therapists in executing personalized treatment plans based on patient evaluations.
• Support patients throughout therapy sessions, guiding them through exercises, balance training, and mobility techniques.
• Maintain and organize therapy areas, ensuring all necessary equipment is properly prepared and sanitized.
• Handle administrative responsibilities, including patient scheduling and maintaining accurate documentation within EMR systems such as WebPT.
• Monitor patient progress and communicate effectively with therapists to adjust treatment plans as required.
• Engage in patient education about home exercises and wellness strategies to encourage ongoing recovery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Our patient demographic ranges from young athletes to older adults seeking help with mobility issues, creating a diverse and engaging environment. As a PTA, your empathetic communication skills and clinical expertise will play a crucial role in building trust and rapport with patients, which is essential for effective rehabilitation.

Qualifications

• Accredited Associate's Degree in Physical Therapy Assisting.
• Current and active Physical Therapist Assistant license in the state of California.
• A minimum of two years of experience in an outpatient physical therapy setting.
• Strong proficiency in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems, including experience with WebPT.
• Experience in manual therapy techniques and various therapeutic modalities is a plus.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working within a multidisciplinary healthcare team and participating in patient care meetings.
• Demonstrated ability to adapt treatment methods based on patient needs and progress.
• Familiarity with current best practices in orthopedic physical therapy is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation package for this full-time PTA position ranges between USD 60,000 and 70,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
