Work Environment

This full-time position is based onsite within a reputable hospital setting in Los Gatos, where you will have access to state-of-the-art facilities and advanced therapeutic equipment. Your work hours will be Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, providing a stable and predictable schedule that supports work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist licensed Physical Therapists in creating and executing tailored treatment plans focused on enhancing patient mobility, strength, and independence.
• Administer a variety of therapeutic exercises and modalities, ensuring they are performed accurately and safely under the supervision of the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Monitor patient progress meticulously, documenting key developments and communicating updates to the Physical Therapist to inform ongoing treatment strategies.
• Educate patients and their families on prescribed exercises, techniques for injury prevention, and strategies for safe movement, thus empowering them in their recovery journey.
• Prepare and manage therapeutic equipment and treatment areas, maintaining an organized and hygienic environment conducive to healing.
• Provide clear and compassionate communication with patients, ensuring they fully understand their treatment protocols and progress towards recovery.
• Engage with clinic operations proactively, contributing to a smooth workflow and supporting team members as needed.

Patient Population / Client Focus

At Athletic Edge Physiotherapy, you will primarily work with patients experiencing a range of orthopedic conditions, including but not limited to post-operative recovery, sports injuries, and chronic pain issues. Your role will be crucial in facilitating their rehabilitation through personalized care that considers each individual's unique needs and circumstances. Our patient population is diverse, and your ability to connect and communicate effectively with various demographics will be essential.

Qualifications

• Current and valid Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the state of California.
• A Bachelor's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Strong foundation in orthopedic rehabilitation techniques, with a patient-centered approach.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and a willingness to embrace new methodologies and technologies in physical therapy.
• Current CPR/BLS certification is required for maintaining a safe and responsive care environment.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation structure for this role ranges from $100,000 to $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
