Waterproofing Superintendent

We are seeking an experienced Waterproofing Superintendent to lead the delivery of waterproofing and below-ground protection works across a range of construction projects. This role will be responsible for supervising site activities, coordinating specialist trades and ensuring that all waterproofing systems are installed safely, efficiently and in accordance with approved designs, manufacturers' requirements and project specifications.

You will oversee day-to-day operations, including site preparation, membrane installation, tanking, protection systems, drainage details, joint sealing and remedial works. Duties will include reviewing drawings and method statements, allocating labour and plant, monitoring productivity, inspecting workmanship and maintaining accurate records of progress, materials and quality checks. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, subcontractors and other site teams to resolve technical issues, manage interfaces and ensure waterproofing activities remain aligned with the programme. The role will also involve identifying potential defects or risks at an early stage and implementing appropriate corrective actions.

The successful candidate will have substantial experience supervising waterproofing, basement construction or a related specialist trade, with a strong understanding of below-ground structures, concrete interfaces and industry installation standards. A relevant trade qualification or site management certification would be advantageous, alongside a recognised health and safety qualification. You should be confident interpreting technical drawings, leading site teams and communicating effectively with clients, contractors and colleagues at all levels. Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and a proactive approach to quality and safety are essential. A commitment to maintaining high standards of workmanship, complying with site procedures and delivering work within agreed timescales will be expected. This is an opportunity for a capable construction professional to take ownership of specialist works and contribute to the successful delivery of complex projects.
