Part-Time Bookkeeper

Part-Time BookkeeperCAP3 is looking for a Part-Time Bookkeeper to join our team in Wilmington, NC. This is a great opportunity for an experienced bookkeeper who enjoys variety, knows their way around accounting systems, and likes being the person who can jump in and get things done.You'll work across our Transaction and Accounts Payable teams, helping fill gaps, keep work moving, and make sure our clients' books stay accurate and up to date. You'll also be responsible for completing bank and credit card reconciliations and helping identify issues before they become problems.This is a hands-on position where no two days may look exactly the same.What You'll DoSupport the Transaction TeamPost daily transactions from bank and credit card feedsReview transactions for proper classification and accuracyResearch and resolve transactions that need additional informationCommunicate with clients regarding open questions when neededHelp keep client books current and organizedJump in to support the Transaction Team when workloads or deadlines require additional helpSupport the Accounts Payable TeamEnter and code vendor bills accurately and timelyReview bills for appropriate coding and supporting documentationCommunicate with vendors regarding invoices and account questionsFollow up on outstanding AP itemsAssist with processing approved vendor paymentsProvide additional support to the AP Team when neededBank & Credit Card ReconciliationsComplete bank and credit card account reconciliationsIdentify and research discrepanciesInvestigate missing or incorrectly posted transactionsEnsure reconciliations are completed accurately and timelyCommunicate issues to the appropriate team member for resolutionHelp maintain clean and accurate client booksBe the "Jump In and Help" PersonThis role is about more than completing a list of assigned tasks.
