CNC SET UP Operator

MachinistPrintpack is seeking the most qualified candidate to fill the position of Machinist in the Machine Support Services (MSS) Shop located in Villa Rica, GA. This individual will report to the MSS Supervisor.Benefits: Health coverage available after 30 days of employment 401k enrollment 1st day of employment - 100% vested Paid Time Off accrual 1st year of employment and sell back option 10 Paid holidays Subsidies for uniforms, safety shoes, safety glasses Associate Discount Program Telemedicine & virtual primary care Associate Assistance Program Pet insurance Legal insurance Pay Range: $28.04 - $42.06 (+$3.00 per hour travel premium) Shop Schedule: M-F 6:30 am - 3:00 pm (Flexible schedule on field projects may include overtime, nights, weekends)Minimum Qualifications:Experience with machine shop equipment including 3 axis vertical mill, lathe, surface grinder, band sawExperience with CNC lathe programming, set-up, and operationsUnderstanding of G & M code programmingAbility to read blueprints and schematicsWilling to respond to off-hours problemsAbility to maintain shop equipmentAbility to work individually, and in a team environment to complete required tasksMust be able to travel up to 25%, sometimes on short notice as neededWillingness to learn field service tasks: drum repair, drum resurfacing, optical alignment, and machine installation and riggingMust have a valid driver's license, a good driving record, and have the ability to obtain a passportMust be able to safely perform assigned tasks when in the field at elevated heightsPreferred Skills:Welding experienceKnowledge of electrical, Pneumatic, hydraulic systems, Mastercam softwareExperience with Okuma machine toolsInternal Applicants:Must not have disciplinary action Written or higher in last 120 daysMust have received 'Performer' or higher on last performance reviewMust be in current position at least 120 days and cannot be on probationMust not be on a Performance Improvement PlanKey Responsibilities:Set up, program, operate CNC controlled machineryMeasure dimensions within tolerances for the fabrication of machine parts and equipment specificationsFamiliarity with machine and equipment alignmentFamiliar with different metal and steel types and their compatibility in different applications of machiningPromote Maintenance and Total Plant SafetyMaintain employee morale and promote active communication within the Department.Provide technical knowledge to help troubleshoot production issuesPrintpack is proudly an equal-opportunity employer.
