Quality Engineer I Indianapolis, IN, United States What you will enjoy doing* You will support the Plant Quality Manager ("PQM") in the successful completion of improvement projects, internal and external audits In this position, you will assist the PQM in the preparation for successful AS9100, Nadcap and customer audits You will utilize statistical analysis tools or software to analyze quality data and determine areas for improvement You will support effective root cause and corrective action plans in a timely manner to meet the organizations and customers’ requirements This position will support the Quality requirements when the Plant Quality Manager is not available and perform other essential job functions as assigned You will perform and develop measurement methods, testing methods and completes measurements/tests with written reports What Makes You Great You must have a BS/BA and 0 – 3 years of engineering/quality experience or 10+ years of direct vapor deposition/plating/thermal coatings related experience with 2+ years of direct AS9100 Quality system related experience You must be able to communicate professionally with internal and external customers and suppliers, in a collaborative problem-solving team environment To be successful in this position, you must be able to combine theoretical training with practical experience in a "hands-on" environment, have effective project management skills with the ability to complete multiple projects independently and be able to work closely with Quality / Engineering / Operations on assigned tasks You will need to have AS9100 Quality Management Systems and internal auditing experience and experience with Microsoft Office Suite, as well as other computer proficiency In this role, you must support the Quality team when the Plant Quality Manager is not available and may be required to work extended hours and/or weekend day(s) You must be able to utilize statistical analysis tools or software to analyze quality data, and Lean Six Sigma experience is preferred Linde Advanced Material Technologies, formerly Praxair Surface Technologies, is a company that revolutionizes industries through innovative materials and surface coatings.
