About the Role We are seeking a talented mid- to senior-level associate attorney who enjoys solving complex planning challenges, working directly with clients, and collaborating with a highly engaged team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to handle sophisticated estate planning matters while continuing to grow professionally in a supportive, collegial environment. An existing book of business is not required. We have an established and growing client base, strong referral relationships, and a robust marketing platform that allows our attorneys to focus on providing exceptional legal counsel while developing their own professional networks over time. Responsibilities Counsel clients on estate, tax, and wealth preservation planning Design and implement sophisticated estate plans Draft and review estate planning documents, including revocable and irrevocable trusts, wills, powers of attorney, health care directives, and related instruments Collaborate with accountants, financial advisors, and other professional advisors Contribute to the firm's continued growth through mentorship, professional development, and relationship building Qualifications J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to practice in New York Four or more years of estate planning experience, including sophisticated tax and wealth transfer planning Strong drafting, analytical, and client counseling skills Working knowledge of federal transfer tax planning and New York estate tax Admission in New Jersey, Connecticut, or another U.S. jurisdiction is a plus LL.M. in Taxation or comparable advanced tax planning experience is a plus What We're Looking For Passionate about estate planning and tax strategy Technically strong with excellent analytical skills Comfortable working directly with clients and their advisors Able to communicate complex legal concepts clearly and practically Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive Collaborative and committed to delivering an exceptional client experience We offer competitive compensation commensurate with experience, performance-based bonus opportunities, sophisticated legal work, meaningful client relationships, dedicated administrative and paralegal support, modern technology, and a genuine opportunity for long-term professional growth.
