Staff Accountant Salary Range: $60,000.00 To $70,000.00 Annually The Southwestern CT Agency on Aging (SWCAA) is seeking an experienced Accountant to oversee financial operations and support our mission of serving older adults, individuals with disabilities, and their caregivers. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with 4+ years of accounting experience, OR an Associate's degree with 5+ years of accounting experience . Nonprofit accounting experience preferred. Strong knowledge of fund accounting, federal and state grant management, expense allocation, and cost allocation principles. Proficiency in automated accounting systems and Microsoft Excel. Experience with accrual accounting and federal compliance requirements. Key Responsibilities Manage and maintain the general ledger and accounting records. Prepare financial statements and federal and state grant reports. Oversee personnel activity reports and expense allocations. Support audit preparation and ensure compliance with applicable regulations. Assist with financial management and reporting across nonprofit programs and funding sources. Why Join SWCAA?
