About the Position

Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse – Ohio

Start Date: November 16, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Night shift, 36 hours per week. Weekdays with occasional weekends and rotating holidays.

Highlights:

• Specialized abdominal transplant unit caring for kidney, liver, and pancreas transplant patients
• Patient population includes transplant recipients, rejection assessments, hepatology, GI bleeds, and complex medical conditions
• Epic charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including pharmacy, respiratory services, rapid response teams, and more
• Experience with telemetry monitoring, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, and advanced IV management
• Float requirements within the organization to support various units as needed
• First-time travelers welcome; candidates with only one year of experience will be individually reviewed by the unit manager

Requirements:

• Valid RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• Minimum 1 year of progressive care unit or stepdown experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, central line care, IV management, port access, and PICC line management
• Experience with adult patient populations
• Nursing degree from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• 2 professional references required (at least 1 must be from a manager/director or formal leadership role)
• Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccination not required
• Must complete urgent fingerprinting process in Ohio upon contract signing
