Campus and PE Assistant, Female - Middle School

Job OverviewProvides support to school site by supervising students, assisting in the orderly transition between classes and activities and helping to maintain a positive and nurturing school culture.Essential FunctionsPhysical Education(P.E.)Assist PE Teachers with daily physical activities in PE classes.Supervise female students in the locker room and transitions to and from class to locker room for PE.Student SupervisionSupervise students - before or after school (depending on schedule), during breakfast snack, and/or lunch, in the computer lab, during P.E., and during class transition times.Help enforce school policies and procedures, including the school-wide discipline plan, throughout the entire campus.Monitor student restrooms and stairwells whenever possible.Ensure that school gates are locked at all times while school is in session.May be asked to supervise small groups of students in class or during transitions.Student and Family RelationsHelp to maintain a positive, nurturing and achievement-oriented school culture that includes college preparation for all students.Build relationships with families to keep them well-informed and support their needs.Assist with and attend meetings on evenings and weekends when necessary.Office AssistanceAssist the front office staff with answering phones, filing, greeting visitors, parents or directing students when needed.Deliver supplies to classrooms when requested.Move boxes of paper or other large items in the office when requested.Other ResponsibilitiesAttend to student needs and injuries, report all student injuries and direct the students to first aid in the office if applicable.Assist with student supervision on field trips when needed.Become familiar with and assist with the implementation of the School Safety Plan.Assist with other duties as needed, including light custodial work (i.e., emptying trash, sweeping floors, emergency cleanup, etc.).Proficient in English and bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus.Experience in a middle or high school desirable.Customer service experience.Experience with Microsoft Office and Excel.Able to lift heavy objects up to 30 lbs.Positive attitude and friendly demeanor.Willing to take initiative and be a team player.Knowledge of specific sportCPR/First Aid/Concussion Training Certifications Up to DateClean CA Driving Record from CA Department of Motor VehiclesEducationHigh school diploma or equivalent required andAA degree or some college desirable.Synergy Academies is an equal opportunity employer.
