Litigation Associate

Hurwitz Sagarin & Slossberg is seeking a dedicated, hard-working litigation attorney with 2 to 5 years of experience to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities: Represent clients in courtroom proceedings, mediations, and arbitrations Take and defend depositions of parties and fact witnesses Research factual and legal issues and collaborate with senior attorneys on litigation strategy Draft pleadings, memoranda, discovery demands and responses, motions, and briefs Examine records and transactions, underlying business disputes, and potential client claims Work across a variety of litigation practice areas including but not limited to antitrust, class actions, unfair trade practices, business disputes, and employment. Qualifications: A passion for litigating Admission to the Connecticut Bar (required) Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school Experience with Connecticut State Court and Federal Court practice Federal or state judicial clerkship experience (preferred) Excellent research, writing, and verbal communication skills The ability to work independently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Strong organizational and time management skills The ability to work independently Prior experience in commercial litigation is preferred, but not required Work Environment and Expectations: A full-time, in-person opportunity in Hurwitz Sagarin and Slossberg’s Milford Office Salary Range: $120,000 - $160,000 Benefits include: Health insurance, with the employee’s premium paid in full by the firm Dental & vision insurance 401(k) Life insurance AD&D Insurance Free parking Paid sick and vacation time #J-18808-Ljbffr
