This full-time, on-site contract-to-hire opportunity features roles at both the high school and middle school levels, offering variety and the chance to work with a diverse student population. You’ll be pivotal in helping students reach their highest potential in a supportive educational environment just outside Providence, RI.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or related field
• Valid certification as a Special Education Teacher
• Experience or practicum in special education settings preferred
• Strong ability to create inclusive, differentiated lessons for varying needs
• Excellent communication skills with students, staff, and families
• Commitment to professional development and continuous learning

Responsibilities:

• Develop, adapt, and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to address each student’s unique learning needs
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to foster a positive learning environment
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with state and federal regulations
• Provide direct instruction, interventions, and modifications to support academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth
• Participate in IEP meetings, team planning, and parent conferences as an active advocate for students
• Foster an atmosphere of trust, respect, and high expectations
