Experienced paralegal case manager is needed for a growing national law practice located in

bucolic Washington Township (Long Valley), New Jersey. Our practice is exclusively limited to

federal matters involving veterans and their dependents anywhere worldwide.

Qualifications:

• The ideal candidate will have at least 2-5 years experiencing as a bona fide paralegal handling either plaintiff's personal injury, medical malpractice, workers compensation, social security disability or veterans benefits.
• Prior experience as an adjudicator at the VA will also be considered.
• Must possess: excellent writing skills, communications skills, capabilities in managing a caseload of at least 100 cases, and ability to get along with co-workers and management.
• Must also be capable of learning new material and adapting to the fast-paced environment of federal regulations that are changing rapidly, working as part of a team, being responsible for his/her own cases, and reporting to a supervising manager and attorney.
• Solid paralegal skills in developing evidence, dealing with experts, managing longstanding litigation files, and handling clients is essential.
• Some knowledge of medicine and science is helpful but what is required is a commitment to embracing medical science and research.

Responsibilities:

• This is not a job for a legal secretary who has been merely assigned the title of "paralegal."
• This job is not about filling out forms, typing dictation, answering the phones, calendaring court notices, and scheduling depositions.
• Real analytical skill, and capabilities of reviewing and analyzing data, drafting substantive memorandums and making recommendations to the attorney manager are required.

Salary Range: $48,000 - $58,000 (based on experience)
