Job DescriptionAML Ford of Prince George is hiring an experienced Diagnostic Service Technician. This is our top technical role — the person other technicians come to when a vehicle has already been through the shop once. If you are the diagnostician in your current store and you are tired of carrying that load without being paid for it, we should talk.ResponsibilitiesDiagnose drivability, electrical, network, and intermittent concerns that other technicians have not been able to resolvePerform complex repairs on Ford cars, trucks, and Super Duty, including engine, transmission, HVAC, and advanced electrical workHandle warranty, field service action, and recall diagnostics in accordance with Ford requirementsDocument concern, cause, and correction clearly and completely on every repair orderComplete a thorough digital multipoint inspection on every vehicle, with clear photo and video documentation so advisors can present accurate recommendationsRoad test vehicles to verify concerns and confirm repairs before deliveryCommunicate findings to service advisors and the shop foreman so customers get accurate estimates the first timeQualificationsFord certification strongly preferred — Senior Master or STST ideal; we will help the right candidate finish certificationsFive or more years of automotive diagnostic and repair experienceA production mindset — you manage your time, keep your bay moving, and take pride in the hours you turnExperience with a digital multipoint inspection toolProven ability to diagnose electrical, network, and intermittent concerns efficiently and correctly the first timeSkilled with factory scan tools, wiring diagrams, oscilloscopes, and manufacturer technical resourcesYour own set of toolsValid driver’s license and an insurable driving recordHigh school diploma or equivalent; formal automotive training is a plusAble to meet the physical demands of a shop environment and pass a background check and drug screeningPay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour - depending on experienceBenefits:Dental insuranceEmployee discountHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insuranceWork Location: In person
