Pad Printing OperatorUnder the direction of the Secondary Production Supervisor, this position performs skilled work in the preparation and operation of pad printing machines in a printing department. Work may include manual labor such as printing, packing, sorting, cutting, or oiling parts.Summary of essential job functions and responsibilities:Prepares job by assembling jigs, obtaining blueprints, set-up sheets, printing plate and ink for operation of printer, and assembling boxes for packingLoads parts onto turntable jigs for printingExamines finished product for qualityCompletes paperwork by recording job time and parts completedPackages materials for shippingTransports products to shipping area manually or by means of a pallet jackResponsible for cleaning up machine and work area, or as assignedMinimum Requirements:Ability to work in a fast-paced production areaAbility to work efficiently on the various punch and print machinesAbility to meet required production averages on jobAbility to read a blueprint and fill out production paperworkAbility to speak, read, write and understand EnglishSkills and Abilities Required:Must be able to lift 10 pounds regularly and up to 40 poundsMust be able to sit or stand for long periods of timeMust be able to work effectively in a shared work environment as a member of a team workforceMust be able to reach, twist, bend, squat, push, pull and climb continuously as neededWork Environment:Occasionally exposed to seasonal temperature extremesOccasionally exposed to chemical substances and/or fumes (protective equipment available)Noise level is usually moderate (hearing protection available)
