CNC Machine Operator

Job Title: CNC Machine Operator Location: Somerset, WI Employment Type: Temp to Hire Pay: $18.00 to $22.00 Shift: 6:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday Position Summary SEEK Careers is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our precision manufacturing team. This role is responsible for operating CNC and/or manual machines to produce high-quality components that meet strict specifications and deadlines. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, a commitment to quality, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced shop environment. Key Responsibilities Operate CNC mills, lathes, grinders, or other production equipment Load and unload materials and parts into machines Monitor machine operations to ensure proper function and output Perform routine quality checks using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) Follow blueprints, work instructions, and job travelers Maintain clean and organized work area Identify and report defects, machine issues, or safety concerns Assist with basic machine setup and tooling changes as needed Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Previous machine operation or manufacturing experience preferred Ability to read basic blueprints and use measuring tools Strong attention to detail and quality standards Basic math and problem-solving skills Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs Preferred Skills Experience with CNC equipment Familiarity with G-code or machine controls Knowledge of metal machining processes Work Environment Industrial machine shop setting Exposure to noise, moving machinery, and metal materials Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required
