CNC Machine Operator

Job Title: CNC Machine Operator Location: Somerset, WI Employment Type: Temp to Hire Pay: $18.00 to $22.00 Shift: 6:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday Position Summary SEEK Careers is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our precision manufacturing team. This role is responsible for operating CNC and/or manual machines to produce high-quality components that meet strict specifications and deadlines. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, a commitment to quality, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced shop environment. Key Responsibilities
- Operate CNC mills, lathes, grinders, or other production equipment
- Load and unload materials and parts into machines
- Monitor machine operations to ensure proper function and output
- Perform routine quality checks using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
- Follow blueprints, work instructions, and job travelers
- Maintain clean and organized work area
- Identify and report defects, machine issues, or safety concerns
- Assist with basic machine setup and tooling changes as needed
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous machine operation or manufacturing experience preferred
- Ability to read basic blueprints and use measuring tools
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards
- Basic math and problem-solving skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Experience with CNC equipment
- Familiarity with G-code or machine controls
- Knowledge of metal machining processes
- Industrial machine shop setting
- Exposure to noise, moving machinery, and metal materials
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required
