Senior Accountant

Senior AccountantWe are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Senior Accountant to join our growing accounting team. This role will be responsible for month-end close activities, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and supporting key accounting initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting knowledge, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.ResponsibilitiesPrepare and review journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.Lead and support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.Analyze financial data and investigate account variances.Prepare financial statements and management reports.Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis.Support external audits and prepare audit schedules and documentation.Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.Identify opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiencies.Mentor and support junior accounting staff as needed.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.3+ years of progressive accounting experience.Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.Experience with month-end close and general ledger accounting.Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.Experience with ERP/accounting systems.Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.CPA or CPA-track candidates are preferred.Preferred ExperienceFinancial statement preparation and analysis.Audit support and compliance reporting.Budgeting and forecasting.Process improvement initiatives.Multi-entity or multi-location accounting experience.
