CNC Machinist

A fast-paced contract manufacturer is looking for an experienced individual to join our team. We manufacture high-precision components and assemblies for a wide variety of markets, including industrial instrumentation, aerospace, and medical. If you are motivated and like to make a wide variety of challenging parts, this is the job for you!

Responsibilities

• Set-up & Inspection: Set up production parts based on instructions from set-up folders and qualify 1st article inspections.
• Production Monitoring: Monitor production runs for tool wear; identify and correct finish and dimensional problems or variances.
• Tool Proficiency: Proficiently use all hand tools required to set up and break down machine tool fixtures.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate record-keeping of in-process counts and other production-related documents.
• Schedule Management: Complete assigned jobs based on a schedule with short lead times.
• Problem Solving: Work independently to solve problems in an efficient manner.
• Compliance: Follow production processes to meet an ISO 9001:2015 certified shop environment.
• Collaboration: Communicate and work well with others to produce the best products possible.

Preferred Experience

• Familiarity with Fanuc and HAAS controls.
• Fourth and fifth-axis machining experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with Mastercam and/or other CAD/CAM programs is ideal.
• Ability to interpret prints and tolerancing (GD&T).
• Experience working with exotic materials with tolerances of +/-.0005.
