Sign On Bonus Potential: Up to 10,000.00 Department SUPPLEMENTAL STAFFIN Location: Carroll Hospital, Westminster, MD Shift: 2:45PM-3:15AM | 12-hour shifts | Full-Time | On-Site Department: Float Pool Overview Carroll Hospital is seeking a skilled and adaptable Registered Nurse to join our Float Pool team . This is a premium opportunity for an experienced nurse looking to work across a variety of inpatient units. The Float Pool RN will be expected to provide high-quality, evidence-based care while floating between Med-Surg, IMC, PCU, CCU, and the Emergency Department based on staffing needs. Key Responsibilities Clinical Practice: Utilize sound clinical reasoning, critical thinking, and decision-making Clinical Practice: Apply evidence-based practice and situational learning in patient care Clinical Practice: Accurately assess and document patient condition, pain, and comfort measures Clinical Practice: Develop individualized plans of care, discharge planning, and educational support Clinical Practice: Work closely with multi-disciplinary teams to coordinate and integrate patient care Clinical Practice: Participate in daily team huddles, patient care discussions, and team meetings Clinical Practice: Delegate tasks appropriately and ensure timely follow-up Clinical Practice: Provide patient and family education to support informed decision-making Clinical Practice: Stay current with nursing best practices, research, and hospital protocols Clinical Practice: Engage in quality improvement efforts and peer review Clinical Practice: Demonstrate customer service excellence and uphold hospital standards Clinical Practice: Follow standard algorithms, protocols, and safety policies across all units Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with multi-disciplinary teams to coordinate and integrate patient care Collaboration & Communication: Participate in daily team huddles, patient care discussions, and team meetings Collaboration & Communication: Delegate tasks appropriately and ensure timely follow-up Collaboration & Communication: Provide patient and family education to support informed decision-making Professionalism & Innovation: Stay current with nursing best practices, research, and hospital protocols Professionalism & Innovation: Engage in quality improvement efforts and peer review Professionalism & Innovation: Demonstrate customer service excellence and uphold hospital standards Professionalism & Innovation: Follow standard algorithms, protocols, and safety policies across all units Patient Safety & Experience: Perform hourly rounding and proactive patient engagement Patient Safety & Experience: Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and families Patient Safety & Experience: Be aware of and work toward the reduction of Nurse Sensitive Indicators (NSIs) Requirements Active RN license with the Maryland Board of Nursing (or compact state eligibility) American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Provider certification – Required AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification – Required Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in an IMC or higher-acuity care setting Flexibility and comfort working across multiple inpatient units What We Offer Full Benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k, etc.) PTO and self-scheduling flexibility Premium Float Pool Differential pay Supportive leadership and a collaborative team environment Access to continuing education and professional development opportunities Additional Information LifeBridge Health is a dynamic health system committed to improving health and patient experiences.
