Machinist II

Machinist IISole Hire is recruiting on behalf of our client, an established international pump manufacturer, for an experienced Machinist II to join their team in Hamilton, NJ. This is an immediate opening within a small, hands-on machine shop. You'll work in a clean, temperature-controlled facility alongside an experienced supervisor and team producing precision components used in pump manufacturing.What You'll Do:Set up and operate CNC and/or manual lathes and millsEdit machine programs and make necessary tooling/offset adjustmentsMachine precision components to engineering specificationsInspect completed parts to ensure accuracy and qualityRead blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&TTroubleshoot machining and quality issuesAssist with fixtures, tooling, and process improvementsPerform routine equipment maintenanceMaintain safety, quality, and 5S standardsRequirements:4-year Certified Apprenticeship + 2 years of setup experience OR 5+ years of machining setup/operating experienceHands-on experience setting up and operating CNC and/or manual lathes or millsAbility to perform machine setups with minimal supervisionAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&TExperience using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and other precision measuring toolsAbility to adjust tooling and work-piece offsets to maintain accuracyStrong machining fundamentals, mechanical aptitude, and attention to qualityBasic computer and math skillsExperience with both lathes and mills is preferred, but not required.
