Duties Description Creedmoor Psychiatric Center is recruiting a Registered Nurse Supervisor 1 Psychiatric to supervise registered nurses and direct care. Candidates from outside or within State Service can apply. As Registered Nurse Supervisor 1 Psychiatric, you will supervise and coordinate the activities of assigned nursing and direct care staff including: Directing and reviewing the work of nursing staff Preparing and monitoring staffing schedules Developing daily staffing plans for nursing care Ensuring compliance with established standards of nursing care in accordance with State, federal, and accreditation agency requirements Minimum Qualifications License and current registration as a registered professional nurse in New York State 3 years of post-licensure clinical nursing experience working with individuals diagnosed with mental illness, addiction, or substance use disorders Substitution: Bachelor’s degree in nursing can substitute for one year of post-licensure experience; a master’s degree can substitute for two years. Candidates from within State Service may be considered for a competitive class appointment if they are on the current Nurse Administrator 1 Psychiatric or Nurse Administrator 2 Psychiatric eligible list, or for a transfer to a competitive class position if they have one year of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service in a title eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law. Registered Nurse Supervisors 1 Psychiatric are eligible for shift differential pay: 7% for evening and weekend day shifts 10% for night shifts Posted hiring rate includes the sum of the statutory hiring rate for PS&T Grade 22 ($82,326), an Increase Hiring Rate ($10,852), Geographic Pay Differential ($35,000) and Downstate Adjustment ($4,000). The posted job rate is the sum of the statutory job rate ($10,230), Geographic Pay Differential ($35,000) and Downstate Adjustment ($4,000). Notes: If you fail to maintain your license and/or registration once you are appointed, action will be taken to remove you from the position. To be eligible for appointment and to maintain employment, you cannot be listed as an excluded individual or entity on any of the Federal and/or State Medicaid and Medicare exclusion lists (or excluded from any other Federal or Federally assisted program).
