Registered Nurse - ICU

Job Summary:
The ICU Registered Nurse (RN) provides specialized nursing care to critically ill patients in the intensive care unit. They utilize advanced skills and clinical expertise to deliver comprehensive care and support patient recovery.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients upon admission and develop individualized care plans based on patient and family needs.
• Implement and monitor nursing interventions, adjusting care plans as needed through continuous evaluation.
• Document all nursing care accurately and timely to ensure seamless communication within the healthcare team.
• Safely administer treatments, medications, and monitor patient responses to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and promote best practices.
• Identify safety hazards and follow protocols to maintain patient and staff safety.

Qualifications:

• Possess a minimum of three (3) years of relevant nursing experience in ICU settings.
• Hold an active and valid Illinois state RN license in good standing.
• Maintain current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• ACLS certification preferred to support advanced cardiovascular life support requirements.
• Demonstrate strong clinical judgment and excellent communication skills.
• Exhibit commitment to ongoing professional development.
