Research Data Associate- Per Diem

Position Summary Research Data Associate – Per Diem. Provide direct data and/or clinical research support for clinical trials, studies and general research under direct supervision. Work with School of Medicine and Medical Center staff and departments, including Directors, Managers, Clinical Information Systems, Research Nursing and Regulatory Services. May interface with patients and their families. Job Responsibilities Interact with patients/subjects and families in a courteous and professional manner. Gather, package, store, and transfer slides, samples and other materials. Coordinate shipment and transfer to departments and labs. Complete assessments on study subjects/patients per protocol with proper training; may draw blood, perform EKG, take vital signs; may travel to study initiation sites. Ensure protocol compliance, adhering to eligibility criteria, follow‑up processes and documentation. Demonstrate knowledge of host institution policies, procedures and regulatory requirements (IRB, approvals). Act as an internal auditor for quarterly audits, maintain up‑to‑date copies of regulatory documents. Initiate and maintain regular contact with patients; encourage visit reminders, compliance, and maintain professional communication. Collect and compile patient information for research projects; input clinical and non‑clinical data into databases or case report forms, prepare data for publications, retrieve reference materials. Consolidate and analyze data for presentation to sponsors and regulatory agencies; review data with supervisor and provide reports to all parties. Recruit and screen potential patients/subjects for study eligibility. Minimum Qualifications Associate's degree plus one year related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Computer literate with good interpersonal, writing and verbal communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree, preferably in science, public health, health education or a related field. Prior experience in a health care setting and/or research level interviews. Prior patient education experience.
