Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA)

The Lutheran Home is looking for full-time Certified Nurse Assistants (CNAs) to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support and care to our residents, bringing comfort, dignity, and compassion to every part of their day. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Assist with daily personal care needs
• Assist with feeding residents
• Weigh residents using upright, chair, and mechanical lift scale
• Assist in turning and positioning of residents
• Transfer residents using proper body mechanics or lifting devices for accident prevention as indicated on the care plan
• Demonstrate appropriate knowledge of the safe use of medical equipment (cane, walkers, mechanical lifts, side rails, brace, splint, oxygen)
• Help keep residents’ rooms clean and well supplied
• Make and change beds occupied and unoccupied beds
• Ambulate residents who require minimal assistance
• Perform skin checks and notify the nurse of any abnormalities in skin integrity
• Answer residents’ calls and take appropriate action
• Immediately report any abuse, neglect, changes in resident’s condition, or incidents to the nurse
• Communicate residents' requests or concerns in a timely manner

Available full-time shifts include:

 

• Day shift: 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM
  • 12-hour shift
  • Work 7 days out of every 14
  • Every other weekend off

 

• Night shift: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM
  • 12-hour shift
  • Work 7 days out of every 14
  • Every other weekend off

 

• Evening shift: 2:00 PM – 12:30 AM
  • 10-hour shift
  • Work 4 days per week
  • Rotating weekend schedule

Requirements:
Minimum age of 18
Current Missouri CNA Certification
