Manager Engineering - (12 Hour Shift - 6PM to 6AM)

Amgen seeks an Engineering Manager for its Ohio manufacturing facility to lead maintenance and engineering teams supporting pharmaceutical packaging operations on a 12-hour night shift. The role involves managing equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, process improvements, and cross-site coordination for commercial GMP drug product operations.
Responsibilities
- Lead team of maintenance and engineering personnel supporting product assembly, labeling, and packaging operations
- Provide engineering support to reduce production downtime and manage equipment maintenance strategies
- Develop and implement improvements to maintenance procedures, job plans, and spare parts management
- Evaluate equipment failure history and recommend preventive and corrective maintenance enhancements
- Facilitate cross-site communication and vendor coordination for technical advancements
Requirements
- Master's degree in engineering or related field with 3+ years of related experience
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field with 5+ years of related experience
- Direct people management or team leadership experience
- Experience repairing mechanical equipment in manufacturing environments
- Proficiency in troubleshooting, PLC systems, and packaging equipment
- Strong written and verbal communication and project management skills
