About the Position

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 2 years of strong experience in a similar setting. The position requires floating to PICU or NICU if necessary. The RN must be comfortable working nights with a schedule of three 12-hour shifts per week. Four weekend shifts per month and some holiday shifts are also required. The patient population primarily consists of neonates, infants, and children undergoing surgical procedures. A highly variable patient acuity level is expected, with many patients being postoperative. Skills in administration of blood products, ventilator management, and cardiac monitoring are essential. Experience in bedside procedures such as chest tube placements is also desirable. Candidates should be familiar with the documentation system used in the unit. The ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams is crucial.
