Location Milwaukee, WI Facility Columbia St Mary’s Hospital Department/Specialty Perioperative Care Schedule Day Shift | PRN Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care for anesthetized patients in the immediate post‑operative or post‑procedural period. Follow aseptic sterile technique according to Association of Perioperative Registered Nurses / American Society of Peri Anesthesia Nurses (AORN/ASPAN) standards. Evaluate patients’ responses to treatments and interventions. Manage patient pain. Anticipate case‑specific needs based on knowledge of procedures performed and pathophysiology. Minimum Requirements Registered Nurse credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Licensure from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing or current home state license if considered multi‑state/Compact State. Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. BLS Provider obtained within 1 month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred; American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR required professional licensure at time of hire. Preferred Qualifications 6 months or more of PACU, ICU, or ED experience.
