Location: Wallingford & Meriden, CT
Schedule:
- 1st Shift: Monday-Friday | 6:00 AM - 3:30 PM
- 2nd Shift: Monday-Friday | 3:30 PM - 1:00 AM
Pay: $20-$35/hour (Based on experience)
What You'll Be Doing
Every day, you'll help produce precision-machined components for a variety of industries while ensuring the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
Responsibilities include:
- Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and other machining equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions
- Install tooling, fixtures, and materials while performing machine setups
- Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections using precision measuring equipment
- Make tool offsets and minor program adjustments to maintain quality and production efficiency
- Troubleshoot machining issues and work with the team to resolve production challenges
- Complete production and quality documentation
- Perform basic preventative maintenance and maintain a clean, organized work area
- Follow all safety procedures while contributing to a positive team environment
What We're Looking For
- Experience operating and setting up CNC machines
- Ability to read blueprints (GD&T knowledge is a plus)
- Experience using calipers, micrometers, indicators, gauges, and other precision measuring tools
- Mechanical aptitude with strong troubleshooting skills
- Commitment to producing quality work with attention to detail
- Dependable, motivated, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
Preferred Experience
- CNC Mills, CNC Lathes, or Multi-Axis Machining Centers
- Fanuc, Haas, Mazak, Okuma, or Siemens controls
- G-Code knowledge and basic program editing
- Tooling and fixture setup
- Preventative machine maintenance
- Manufacturing or technical school education is a plus
