Inventory Control Supervisor

Inventory Control Supervisor Role may sit in the following locations: Preference – Chicago, IL or Londonderry, NH. Optional – Buffalo, NY or Minneapolis, MN. The Inventory Control Supervisor is responsible for LUSA inventory controlling functions across the network, focused on our MWY business unit. Responsibilities include inventory control, storage/picking strategy management, losses, inventory accuracy, cycle counting, continuous improvement initiatives, and serving as a key SAP user to ensure training and development of others in ERP/WMS systems. Responsibilities Analyze existing inventory processes using continuous improvement methods. Lead key projects and audit for improvement identification across the warehouse and inventory areas. Supervise inventory analyst(s) and collaborate with warehouse leadership and external 3PL partners to re-engineer processes and drive improvement. Establish measurable standards and monitor progress of day‑to‑day activities and focused improvement projects. Serve as a coach, coordinate workshops and team trainings, sharing guidance and technical expertise. Verify and maintain proper inventory accuracy to meet internal and external customer needs. Ensure all required inventory counts are completed in a timely and accurate manner. Ensure all reports, losses, adjustments, reconciliations and tasks are completed in a timely and accurate manner; identify insights and actions to improve results. Conduct work investigations, problem solving, data collection, and work assignments for operations management. Provide inventory process knowledge, including training, improvement initiatives, process tools and methodologies. Use SAP to manage inventory transactions and reporting. Review and approve inventory adjustments, transfers, and corrections in SAP. Investigate and resolve SAP discrepancies between system records and physical counts or warehouse management systems. Maintain data accuracy for material, status, storage location, batch, serial, and UOM. Generate SAP reports to track KPIs such as inventory accuracy, turns, and shrink. Mission Responsibilities Oversee efficient implementation of quality standards, programs and processes to improve operational efficiencies and reduce or eliminate production waste and spoilage. Support environmental programs, including recycling of office waste and power conservation techniques. Proactively seek ways to support our mission and reduce negative environmental impacts. Safety Responsibilities Work safely in the context of performing the position’s functions. Oversee implementation and adherence to LUSA safety practices and programs and hold staff accountable. Report unsafe conditions or practices to management for appropriate action. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent combination of experience and education. Prior Inventory Control Supervisor or management experience required. Proven ability to identify and resolve problems timely, analyze information, and develop alternative solutions. Strong Microsoft Office and web‑based application skills. Knowledge of warehouse management software required. Verbal and written communication skills to explain complex and confidential information. Presentation skills to facilitate training and deliver informational sessions. Ability to develop effective methods for tracking and monitoring data or information. Critical thinking, data analysis, and maintaining data integrity. Prioritization and meeting deadlines within specified constraints. Team player and adaptability to changing work environment.
