Division of Finance & Administration Internship Program Job Title: Division of Finance & Administration Internship Program Term: Fall 2026 & Spring 2027 Semesters Compensation: $15/hour Commitment: 10-12 weeks per semester | 5–10 hours per week Overview Are you looking to build your resume but feel like every "entry-level" job already requires years of experience? VCU’s Division of Finance and Administration is looking for you. We are launching a specialized internship program designed specifically for students with little to no prior professional work experience. Our goal is to provide you with the foundational skills, professional network, and "real-world" resume bullets you need to kickstart your career. Why Apply? No Experience Required: We aren’t looking at your past; we’re looking at your potential. Tailored Placement We will place you in a department within Finance and Administration. Utilizing your input, you will be placed in one of the following areas: Finance, Human Resources, Facilities Management, Technology Services, Real Estate, Parking & Transportation, Occupational Health and Safety, VCU Sustainability, VCU Police and Emergency Management. Competitive Pay Earn $15/hour while you learn. Student-First Scheduling This program is designed to fit around your life (5-10 hours/week). The internship begins September 8 and is guaranteed for the full academic year. You will not be scheduled to work during add/drop periods, final exams, or Fall/Spring breaks. What You Will Gain Hands-on Experience: Work directly with university operations and administrative systems. Career Readiness: Participate in specialized workshops designed to prepare you for the post-grad job market. Inside Access: Gain a clear understanding of how a large-scale institution functions "behind the scenes." Who Should Apply? Current VCU students in good academic standing. Students who have had limited opportunities for formal jobs or internships in the past. Students who can commit to both the Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 semesters. All majors are welcome!
