We are looking for a dependable Help Desk/Desktop Support Analyst to join a manufacturing organization in Saint Louis, Missouri. This contract opportunity with permanent potential is ideal for someone who enjoys solving technical issues, supporting end users, and delivering a high level of customer service in a hands-on environment. The person in this role will assist with day-to-day desktop support, device setup, account access, and user onboarding while helping employees stay productive across common business technologies.

Responsibilities:
• Deliver technical assistance to employees through both desk-side and remote support for a wide range of hardware, software, and access-related issues.
• Investigate and resolve incidents involving desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and other workplace technology equipment.
• Set up, configure, and maintain Windows and macOS systems along with essential business applications such as Microsoft 365.
• Support users with connectivity challenges, including wireless access and basic network-related troubleshooting.
• Prepare and deploy new computers by imaging devices, installing required software, and confirming proper system configuration.
• Administer user accounts and access permissions in directory services and other internal platforms as needed.
• Record support requests, troubleshooting steps, and final resolutions accurately within the service desk ticketing system.
• Keep the technical support area organized and monitor equipment inventory to help ensure devices and accessories are properly tracked.
• Guide employees on everyday technology best practices, including safe computing habits and general security awareness.
• Assist with new employee technology setup and orientation, including workstation readiness and initial IT support needs.• Minimum of 2 years of experience in technical support, desktop support, help desk, or a similar IT support role.
• At least 5 years of experience in a customer-facing or service-oriented position.
• Working knowledge of Windows 10, Microsoft Windows environments, and macOS systems.
• Hands-on ability to troubleshoot common hardware, software, and peripheral issues effectively.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
• Experience working with Active Directory, user account administration, and service desk ticket management.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts and connectivity troubleshooting.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills with a consistent customer-first approach.
