Mechanical Control Systems Design Engineer (Experienced or Lead)Company:The Boeing CompanyThe Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Mobility, Surveillance and Bombers (MS&B) organization is seeking a Mechanical Control Systems Design Engineer (Experienced or Lead) to join the Air Vehicle Engineering team located in Oklahoma City, OK.Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Experienced or Lead Level Engineers.Position Responsibilities:Experienced (Level 3)Supports the development and documentation of mechanical and fluid system and thermal environment requirements to establish the system design.Supports the development, maintenance, or modification of system, component, and installation designs/proposals to provide design documentation to downstream groups.Performs and documents analyses to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.Contributes to supplier development, test, and production activities and directs the supplier to optimize integration and achieve program goals.Supports system components' designs/proposals standards to provide installation and detail documentation.Trains others.Works under general direction.Lead (Level 4)Lead and provide technical quality review of the development and documentation of mechanical and fluid systems to establish the system design.Lead activities to validate and verify mechanical and fluid systems requirements.Lead the development, maintenance, or modification of system components' designs/proposals to provide installation and detail documentation.Lead technical meetings and planning efforts, presenting technical information to wide range of audiences.Manage supplier development, test, and production activities and directs the supplier to optimize integration and achieve program goals.Prioritize, delegate, and track performance and documentation of analyses of fluid systems/mechanisms/landing gear/ordnance components and systems selecting appropriate methods to validate or assess the design.Support proposal preparation and new business development efforts.Train and coach others.Work under minimal direction.This position is expected to be 100% onsite.
