Event Staff Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Event Staff to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Respond to all complaints in a friendly and professional manner;
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for colleagues and visitors;
- Unless you are called to help with something, you must stay out of the event area while it is in progress;
- Event setup and breakdown;
- You should not accept tips from the guests;
- You will put away the tables and chairs after the event is finished;
- There is not much to do during the event unless there is something such as a spill to clean up or trash to pick up;
- Arrive two hours before the event;
- The cleanup usually takes about two hours after the event is over so the total time per event usually ranges from six to twelve hours;
- Other duties as assigned;
- While you are not working, you will go to an adjacent building where you can relax but you are not allowed to wander around outside;
- Handing out concessions to attendees;
- You may not look at your cell phone if you are in the event area but you may look at it when you are on standby in an adjacent room;
- You will clean the floors and the rest rooms after the event so that it is ready for the next event;
- Remain on site during the event.
Requirements:
- Ability to problem solve quickly and find effective solutions to issues that arise;
- Friendly attitude even when dealing with disgruntled colleagues and clientele;
- Possess a positive attitude and ethics which support our values and culture;
- Highly adaptable to various situations and visitor needs;
- Your attire is black dress pants and a white button-down dress shirt;
- Ability to work in a high trafficked, noisy environments;
- Attend an orientation prior to your first event;
- A background check will be conducted, you must have a clear background, minor issues will be considered;
- Be available to work nights and weekends.
