Digital Design Engineer I is responsible for the digital design of integrated circuits and related development. Participates in all phases of physical design including floor planning, clock synthesis, timing optimization and signal integrity.   • Work to enhance the performance of existing circuits, subsystems, and products;
  • Create and maintain accurate and detailed design files;
  • Coordinates and supervises technicians assigned to projects;

  • Interface with PCB designer to insure schematics are correctly implemented in printed circuit board layout;

  • B.S. Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering and a minimum of 8 years relevant experience;
  • Experience with VHDL simulation – using part vendor tools or third party (Xilinx simulator, Active HDL etc);
  • Circuit Design;
  • Self-motivated with excellent oral, written communication skills within a multidisciplinary engineering environment;
  • Familiar with microcontroller/microprocessors including ST-Micro, Freescale (NXP) devices or similar;
  • Previous experience with microprocessors, FPGAs, VHDL, DDR and flash memories; I2C, SPI, RS232/422, USB and Ethernet interfaces;
  • Board Integration & test;
  • Experience with using various test equipment – Oscilloscope, Voltmeter, Spectrum Analyzer, Logic Analyzer;
  • Previous experience with Altium Designer, Allegro/OrCAD, KiCAD or similar Schematic/Layout tools;
  • Intimate knowledge of specific FPGA families including Xilinx Zynq Ultrascale+ MPSOC/RFSOC or Zynq 7000;
  • Schematics development.
