Production engineers take over wells after drilling is completed. They typically monitor wells’ oil and gas production. If wells are not producing as much as expected, production engineers figure out ways to increase the amount being extracted.

Our company is looking for a Product Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Supplier negotiations and lead-time planning;
  • Manage inventory for sample build, lab testing and customer evaluation;
  • Efficiently and effectively perform assembly, testing & troubleshoot/repair of Supermicro Superserver hardware;
  • Support assurance of supply and factory/customer quality issues;
  • Test and troubleshoot electro-optical and mechanical sub-assemblies working directly with production personnel as required;
  • Manage and report quality for Storage products. Resolves all quality/technical issues impacting performance;
  • Releases order to NC programming;
  • Work with Operations and Program Management to maintain records and documentation related to the production flow;
  • Typical duties/responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following;
  • Expected to work extended hours as business needs dictate;
  • Develops and maintains all product drawings, specifications, and support information;
  • Drives a culture of “Do It Safe, Do It Right the First Time” with their actions and their words on a daily basis;
  • Develop and maintain the test methodology for company FPGAs and IP;
  • Think about systems — their edge cases, failure modes, and life cycles;
  • Creates new model designs to meet customer requirements or product development needs.

Requirements:

  • Perform product data analysis including determining limits on Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) prior to releasing products into manufacturing;
  • Drive and manage qualification and Volume Ramp Up aspects of New Product Introductions (NPI);
  • Provide timely engineering disposition based on data and procedures;
  • Knowledge of fiberglass fabrication;
  • Good organizational, time management, verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Project or process engineering may be substituted for production engineering experience;
  • 2 years of engineering design experience, including design methods, engineering materials, and associated manufacturing systems;
  • AutoCAD or other Computer Aided Design (CAD) experience helpful;
  • Bachelors in chemical engineering or related degree is required;
  • Experience in continuous and/or batch processes and control systems preferred; manufacturing experience preferred;
  • Fiberglass boat design experience a plus;
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes and related quality architecture;
  • Experience with Root Cause Analysis strongly preferred;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products;
  • Three years of work experience in related field.
