Our company is looking for a Product Development Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Define and Develop validation tests and test strategies to meet program timelines and goals;
  • Debug test and product related issues;
  • Opportunity to people manage small technical team;
  • Work as a strong individual contributor and technical leader;
  • Create, enhance and manage test framework/libraries to improve test development efficiency;
  • Responsible for new design of existing products;
  • Participate in the APQP team;
  • Develop and debug complex software programs to convert design validation vectors and drive complex test equipment;
  • Analyze early customer returns with emphasis on driving test hole closure activities;
  • Test, validate, modify and redesign circuits to guarantee component margin to specification;
  • Create and apply concepts for optimizing component production relative to both quality and cost constraints;
  • Create and test validation and production test hardware solutions;
  • Autonomously plan and schedule own daily tasks, develops solutions to problems utilizing formal education and judgment;
  • Detail development of various products to meet customer’s functional and cost requirements;
  • Ensuring the testability and manufacturability of integrated circuits from the component feasibility stage through production ramp.

Requirements:

  • Understanding of E-Motor manufacturing processes;
  • Experience using Python, C/C++, Matlab/Simulink;
  • x95 Knowledge of NVMe and PCIe protocols is a plus;
  • Solid understanding of various types of electric machines and their dynamic modeling;
  • Coordinate with other disciplines involved in the project as necessary;
  • BSME, BSEE, BS in mechanical technology, or equivalent;
  • Agency approval process knowledge such as UL, FDA or NSF is preferred;
  • Demonstrate good level of understanding of Memory testers and test code environment, specifically C, C++ and Python;
  • The ability to communicate with cross functional teams and understanding of metal stampings and casting suppliers, mold makers, and metal finishers;
  • Create CAD models and drawings and facilitate their review for accuracy;
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or similar technical BS is required;
  • Electroplating experience a plus;
  • Experience with NVM product development, design validation, and qualification;
  • At least two (2+) years of experience working with Mazda is required.
