Our company is looking for a Image Processing Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining contacts with groups outside of RD&E to facilitate problem identification and solutions;
  • Assist senior staff in the deployment of unique image diagnostic systems and corresponding data analysis techniques;
  • Assist senior staff with the development of custom image processing/analysis software;
  • Communicate project status and updates to work group;
  • To support the development of custom triggering/synchronization/automation systems for optical diagnostic deployment;
  • Conduct hands on work in a laboratory environment and maintain the smooth operation of the laboratory and associated materials;
  • Document work and generate IP as appropriate.

Requirements:

  • Ability to build relationships across functional groups;
  • Highly motivated, willing to take initiative and excellent communication skills. Does this sound like you?
  • LabView (Above Average);
  • Knowledge and experience of statistical analysis;
  • Matlab (Average);
  • Some level of mechanical aptitude/equipment understanding;
  • Exposure to imaging hardware, optics, and illumination sources (lasers, LEDs, etc);
  • Do you have the ability to access your network to get things done independently as well as working within a team?
  • Deep knowledge with systems integration and automation, both electrical and software;
  • Do you have demonstrated dependability?
  • Strong laboratory and experimental practices;
  • Are you able to integrate well into a diverse environment?
  • Organized with good planning and time management skills to balance multiple priorities;
  • Hard-working, learns quickly and independently;
  • Creative/innovative problem solving skills unique to image capture and setup in dynamic environments.
