Production Worker Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Production Worker to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Make every effort to increase productivity and efficiency without compromising quality;
- Must be able to follow FDA food safety regulations;
- Must be able to communicate effectively with others in the workplace;
- Performs paint line functions, including: applying and replenishing the paint bag applicator, hanging tanks, and finishing;
- Perform quality inspections and complete the DIR accurately;
- Package finished products and prepare for shipping;
- Stacking finished parts or goods;
- Notify Supervisor of any unsafe practice;
- Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship);
- Seal cartons and be able to lift cartons onto pallet – move pallets to staging area;
- Perform good housekeeping in assigned areas, including sweeping, vacuuming, wiping floors and machinery;
- Pours coating liquid into spray container and connects gun to air hose;
- Candidate m ust be able to stand for long periods, grip and grasp with hand s , l i ft up 25 lbs, bend and stoop;
- Inventory control and basic computer knowledge;
- Turn valve controls to start equipment and to adjust operation to maintain product quality.
Requirements:
- Reliable;
- Able to work 8 hour shifts standing;
- Ability to follow instructions;
- Good practical skills;
- Must pass background check;
- Able to pass pre-employment screening;
- Must be able to communicate effectively with others in the workplace;
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
- Experience reading blueprints/measuring tape;
- 6 months of warehouse or manufacturing experience;
- Proven ability to work SAFELY adhering to all safety processes and policies;
- Ability to lift and carry over 50 lbs;
- Able to climb a ladder and flex the upper and lower body;
- Able to work in a noisy, wet and cold environment of approximately 34-38 degrees;
- Open availability to work any days / hours.
