Project Architect Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Project Architect to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Manages and tracks change orders, applications for payment by contractors and other contractual modifications impacting budget and schedule;
- Focus on client satisfaction and creating their interest in our providing them with additional future project related services;
- Review and approve construction documents for compliance with approved layouts;
- Participate and/or lead design charettes;
- Assist the Project Manager with all project assignments and deadlines;
- Serve as a leader on various project phases including: conceptual design, programming, space planning, SD, DD, and CDs;
- Make informed design and documentation decisions using discretion and good judgement;
- Function at Senior job captain capacity for small to medium size projects;
- Potential for continental and international travel;
- Leads coordination efforts of all engaged engineering disciplines;
- Coordinates the supporting efforts of consultants through the construction process;
- Professional Degree in Architecture or Construction;
- Engages in the development of a design through sketches, physical models, electronic models, diagrams, massing studies, and other visual formats;
- Plans and develops projects of medium to large scope and works under minimal supervision;
- Assist with business development and gaining new clients.
Requirements:
- Self-motivated and with a strong work ethic and personally driven to consistently meet project design and performance goals;

- Able to communicate with all levels of the corporate structure;
- Potential for continental and international travel;
- Comfortable working in a team environment;
- Five to fifteen years of experience as a registered Architect;
- Professional Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture;
- Experience with AutoCAD, Photoshop, InDesign, Microsoft Suite required. BlueBeam, Revit and eBuilder or similar project management software a bonus;
- B.S. degree in Architecture required;
- Proficiency in InDesign, Photoshop, Bluebeam Studio and other graphics/design applications a plus;
- Coordinates the supporting efforts of consultants through the construction process;
- experience in project management, project documentation, and construction administration;
- Professional Degree in Architecture or Construction;
- Demonstrated successes in space-planning, design efficiencies and understanding of customer behaviors.
