Our company is looking for a R&D Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand, review, and explore drilling and completions data features;
  • Other duties as required;
  • Clearly communicate with team and management;
  • Finish the written report in a timely manner for progress record;
  • Conduct research on targeted drilling operations and establish comprehensive analytical models;
  • Provide testing and debugging prior to software release;
  • Document work as requested;
  • Work with software developers for an easily-readable result illustration;
  • Think beyond simply the engineering equations, anticipate drilling problems, devise solutions and choose the best alternatives;
  • Identify and communicate opportunities to improve efficiencies in operations;
  • Adhere to timeframes and deadlines set forth;
  • Communicate with customers to resolve issues as needed;
  • Review data and trends to identify value-add insight to customers;
  • Develop production real-time models;
  • Be on call for solving data issues as required.

Requirements:

  • Lab experience with debugging, fixtures, and test equipment;
  • Ability to adhere to established UCSD guidelines for safety and environmental issues;
  • Required – Customer and results oriented;
  • Required – Experienced in plastic part design, Injection molding and Extrusion would be preferred;
  • Strong interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to make and present engineering decisions;
  • Required – Competent with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, 3D modeling, CAD;
  • Ability to lead cross functional teams;
  • Specific specialized engineering skills such as;
  • Strong effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to instruct others in experimental techniques;
  • Supervisory experience and Master’s Degree preferred;
  • Required – Excellent interpersonal skills; practiced in public speaking and face-to-face consultation;
  • Bioengineering principles;
  • Comparative statistics;
  • Software application skills.
