Our company is looking for a R&D Engineer, II to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze design variations, part assembly/disassembly, performance anomalies, etc;
  • Collects, records, reports, interprets and analyzes data, presents results to peers and business leadership;
  • Contributes as an extended team member on a project of considerable significance or leads smaller scope projects;
  • Develops robust test methods, design test fixtures and execute measurement system analysis;
  • Supports material/design/process changes to the product line through design control process, with well-documented research/analyses;
  • Designs and develops in vivo and in vitro models to evaluate product features & improvements;
  • Provides advanced engineering skills and product evaluation support to the platform toward building business cases for new opportunities;
  • Develop mechanical designs/solutions based on engineering analysis to meet performance requirements;
  • Demonstrates accountability for successful and timely completion of designated tasks;
  • Author protocols and reports including engineering studies and design verification activities;
  • Design and perform experimental tests within scope of project responsibilities and ensure conformance with scientific methods and procedures;
  • Performs data analysis using statistical tools, regression analyses and develop transfer functions;
  • Plans, executes and analyzes design of experiments (DOE);
  • Applies innovative & logical risk based approach to product development challenges with the capacity for original thinking.

Requirements:

  • Software application skills;
  • Comparative statistics;
  • Bioengineering principles;
  • Proficient in solid modeling (Pro/E, SolidWorks or equivalent);
  • Supervisory experience and Master’s Degree preferred;
  • Good verbal and written communication skills;
  • Specific specialized engineering skills such as;
  • Ability to lead cross functional teams;
  • Ability to make and present engineering decisions;
  • Strong interpersonal skills;
  • Strong creative, analytical and problem solving skills required;
  • Exposure to Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA);
  • Familiarity with project management, prioritizing and multi-tasking skills to work within tight deadlines;
  • Demonstrated ability to create and execute project plans;
  • Basic product, design & prototyping.
