Safety Engineer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Safety Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision;
- Interact professionally with other employees, customers and suppliers;
- Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organizations.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of adult learning methods to develop and implement effective training programs;
- Knowledge of health, safety, environmental and workers compensation best practices;
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills that result in effective communication;
- Expertise in driving continuous improvement in HSE;
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience;
- At least three year related experience in safety and health;
- 0-10% travel required;
- Strong technical background;
- Active Secret Security Clearance required;
- Working knowledge of DoD and Army safety regulations covering safety and health;
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;
- Familiarity with MIL-STD-882E preferred but not required;
- 3+ years of experience in Safety Engineering required;
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in relevant field, or equivalent work experience required.
