Our company is looking for a Safety Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision;
  • Interact professionally with other employees, customers and suppliers;
  • Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organizations.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of adult learning methods to develop and implement effective training programs;
  • Knowledge of health, safety, environmental and workers compensation best practices;
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills that result in effective communication;
  • Expertise in driving continuous improvement in HSE;
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience;
  • At least three year related experience in safety and health;
  • 0-10% travel required;
  • Strong technical background;
  • Active Secret Security Clearance required;
  • Working knowledge of DoD and Army safety regulations covering safety and health;
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;
  • Familiarity with MIL-STD-882E preferred but not required;
  • 3+ years of experience in Safety Engineering required;
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in relevant field, or equivalent work experience required.
