Our company is looking for a Water Resources Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Working with a team of engineers and technicians in the performance of H&H related projects;
  • Assist in proposal preparation including innovative technical approaches and competitive pricing. Will prepare and perform client presentations;
  • Identifies discrepancies in results;
  • Performs specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer;
  • Conducting and documenting site visits and field investigations;
  • Prepare design calculations and construction cost estimates;
  • Supportand/or lead in the design analysis through application of quantitative andqualitative evaluation techniques;
  • Provide project management to a wide variety of projects that integrate ecological restoration and sustainable water management practices;
  • Work on simple and complex hydrologic, hydraulic, infrastructure and water resources design and analyses;
  • Work with our team to identify and develop hydrologic and hydraulic business opportunities including Flood Control, Storm Water Management;
  • Performwater quantity and quality modeling;
  • Preparation of engineering plans and specifications for construction;
  • Prepares contract documents for construction (i.e. engineering drawings and specifications);
  • Serves as Engineer-of-Record;
  • Analyzewatershed and water quality data using GIS and statistical techniques.

Requirements:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and technical writing experience is mandatory;
  • BS in Engineering; MS degree is a plus;
  • Ability to support water rights transfers, applications and litigation is a plus;
  • Degree coursework focus on hydrology / hydraulics;
  • 5 – 10 + years relevant experience;
  • Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and GIS;
  • Knowledge in water resources engineering, including environmental, water quality, modeling, AutoCAD and construction oversite;
  • Specific knowledge of the hydrology and water quality issues of Florida required;
  • Must be able to work in a team environment;

  • Must be able to read construction plans and develop construction cost estimations;
  • PE registration;
  • PE license;
  • Ability to plan project resources, maintain schedules and stay within budget;
  • Working knowledge of modeling software (HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, EPASWMM, StormCAD, and WaterCAD).
