Our company is looking for a Architectural Project Manager to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Manages and tracks change orders, applications for payment by contractors and other contractual modifications impacting budget and schedule;
- Directs client invoicing and effectively manages collections;
- Develop and manage project budget, schedule, and overall work plan to realize target financial performance;
- Motivate project teams;
- Responsible for managing complex tasks on multiple, large scope, highly complex projects;
- Conduct field observation acting as an agent of the client and report progress of construction to the client;
- Develop project scope, budgets and schedules, and develop strategies with project team members to insure all project goals are achieved;
- Actively communicate project status with Project Principal and Projects Division Director;
- Strongly promote the highest quality of services to all project team members including Owner, consultants and contractors;
- Actively participate in project marketing to include presentations, proposal preparation, and selection of project consultant;
- Manage all contractual issues in coordination with the Project Principal, to include scope changes, billing and collections;
- Responsible for manpower analysis, fee determination, fee negotiations (Owner and consultants) and contract execution;
- Responsible for occasional business development of pre-qualified customers for the firm within the higher education and healthcare markets;
- Develop and manage project budgets and manpower while achieving established profit goals;
- Works with Program Manager in determining project staffing needs and recommending personnel.
Requirements:
- Construction Contract experience;
- Project experience with Higher Education, k-12, and Municipal buildings;
- Project management experience;
- SketchUp, Photoshop, and InDesign proficiency;
- Registered Architect and BS in Architecture with experience;
- Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, create & meet budgets;
- 3 – 8 years’ experience working in an architectural office;
- Prepare project reports for management, clients or others;
- Generate purchase orders and invoices;
- Proficient in Rhino/3d, 2+ years minimum;
- Experience in detailing construction documents (architectural detailing experience with complex geometry a plus);
- Construction scheduling and management;
- Software: CAD (highly proficient), graphics based packages and solid understanding of 3D software;
- Develop/implement project work plans/methodologies for complex projects;
- Strong ability to drive projects and lead teams to creative, effective solutions.
