Our company is looking for a Asset Manager to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Support Acquisitions on market intelligence and due diligence for new acquisitions;
  • Negotiate property management agreements with support from senior team;
  • Frequently communicate with property management to provide effective property oversight;
  • Support senior team in restructurings, sales and asset financings as required;
  • Prepare annual operating budget;
  • Negotiate maintenance overhaul and repair contracts;
  • Forecasting of materials to support Operations;
  • Projects – may be required to work on miscellaneous projects and initiatives across the company as needed;
  • Other duties as assigned;
  • Attends internal Bank meetings and external customer meetings as needed to assist in the investment approval and closing due diligence process;
  • Advise and assist in major capital improvement projects ;
  • Track warranties on all applicable parts;
  • Ability to negotiate land, sea, and air freight quotes with carriers;
  • Oversight of repairs to include tracking of repairs, overhauls, and warranties. Coordinate with QA on approved vendor list and Shelf Life Program;
  • Underwrites and prepares approval documents and projections models for tax credit investments and related Chemical Bank loans, if applicable.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in financial branch management, financial services, or other related fields;
  • Ability to work under pressure;
  • Knowledge of common banking practices;
  • Knowledge of accounting and finance principles;
  • BS/BA and a strong academic record with emphasis on real estate, finance, accounting and/or economics required;
  • Interest in learning the real estate development industry, specifically focusing on affordable housing development;
  • Strong organization, communication, and analytical skills required;
  • Good negotiation skills, presentation skills and a history of successful interaction with clients and partners;
  • Fluency with Argus AE valuation software and Excel required;
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills;
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment;
  • Previous experience in real estate and/or finance a plus;
  • College Degree required;
  • Strong oral and written communication skills;
  • At least 2 years of experience working in an office environment.
