Our company is looking for a Assistant Estimator to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct all business in accordance with company policies, procedures, state and federal laws;
  • Obtain bidders lists for projects that have been scoped and estimated;
  • Coordinate work between consultants and subcontractors;
  • Competitive base salary;
  • Assist in management of design phase of the project;
  • Vacation, Holiday and Sick Pay;
  • Communicate with lead estimators and management;
  • Ensure project deliverables are completed on time;
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, including all administrative tasks and sites involved in the project;
  • Assist the estimator and eventually learn to estimate construction projects as well;
  • Coordinate activities and resources for projects that impact multiple departments or for multiple projects;
  • Actively develop your own career growth.

Requirements:

  • High sense of urgency to complete assigned tasks on time;
  • Excellent communication skills – written, presentation, and interpersonal;
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Office and Bluebeam;
  • Possess a high degree of integrity and dedication to superior customer service;
  • 2 years’ experience in construction;
  • Develop, improve, maintain and enforce the estimating document control protocol;
  • Perform routine office activities, as well as administrative actions;
  • Self-starter with a strong work ethic, positive attitude and team player;
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screening;
  • Coordinate proposal efforts with internal and external team members;
  • Demonstrate strict confidentiality and sensitivity in handling information;
  • Administer insurance and bonding requirements to meet proposal and bid requirements;
  • Must pass E-verify;
  • Ability to eventually become proficient in Bluebeam, Procore, SharePoint, Smartbid and other estimating support software;
  • Edit and compose routine and advanced correspondence, presentation and/or reports.
