Our company is looking for a Business Analytics Specialist to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Create and manage standards, processes and procedures to ensure agile delivery and consistent operations;
- Attract, develop, retain talent and improving productivity, efficiency and effectiveness of the team and / or business;
- Bias towards action by creating a contextual business narrative based on deep business understanding;
- Drive multi-tiered governance process across prioritized work efforts, bringing all the business/engineering/analytics leads together;
- Manage the portfolio of work for BI & Analytics and partner with stakeholders on monthly governance;
- Enable the next generation Analytics and BI experiences as a self-serve capability and modernized user experience;
- Engage broadly with teams to frame, structure and prioritize business problems where insights can have the biggest impact;
- Drive the adoption of business insights with the intended personas to realize the business value;
- Engage broadly with multiple teams to frame, structure and prioritize business problems where insights can have the biggest impact;
- Partner with data science team to apply advanced analytics concepts towards rich and bold insights;
- Act as an evangelist and catalyst for BI & Analytics innovation;
- Drive highly visible, high impact and complex analytic engagements impacting the data platform and reporting/analytics ecosystem.
Requirements:
- 8+ years of relevant experience in managing and/or running large scale and complex programs with focus on BI & Analytics;
- Exceptional influence without authority and excellent collaboration skills;
- Statistics – Basic probability distributions, estimation techniques, confidence intervals, hypothesis testing (z-test, t-test, ANOVA etc.);
- Proven track record of shipping highly scalable and reliable analytical solutions through multiple cycles;
- Familiarity with big data technologies (COSMOS, Hadoop, MapReduce);
- Machine Learning – Regression, Classification, Clustering, Data preparation (outlier treatment, missing value imputations etc.),
- Understanding of Data Warehouse fundamentals (architectural layers & schema types) is a plus;
- Understanding of Maximum Likelihood Estimation is a plus;
- Data Visualization – Experience in one or more Data Visualization tools (MS Power BI, Tableau etc.);
- Data engineering – Hands-on in SQL and experienced in working with RDBMS for data extraction and data read/write;
- 7+ years of mixed relevant experience in delivering Advanced Analytics and BI solutions for key business problems for large businesses;
- Experience in leading insights & analytics related engagements and partnering with teams that build complex analytical models.
