Business Intelligence Developer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Business Intelligence Developer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with teams to integrate systems;
- Design, build and deploy BI solutions;
- Evaluate and improve existing BI systems;
- Works independently with minimal supervision according to project deadlines;
- Responsible for the analysis, design, documentation, development, unit testing, and support of report development for software applications;
- Support enhancements and fixes to existing solutions;
- Occasionally required to stand, kneel or stoop, and lift and/or move up to ## pounds;
- Work with technical resources (internal and external) to ensure accurate translation of specifications into workable application code;
- Maintain documentation regarding all responsibilities described above;
- Design, modifies, develops, writes and implements software programming applications;
- Convert data from various file formats to relational database (ETL);
- Support the design and development of BI solutions;
- Work with business users on a day-to-day basis;
- Performs a variety of intermediate tasks;
- Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls, and reach with hands or arms.
Requirements:
- Proficient at leading projects and delivering outcomes on time;
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, mathematics or data science;
- Experience with Installation and Configuration of OBIEE environment;
- Experience working with git repositories;
- Demonstrates organizational skills while working on multiple projects;
- Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services development;
- 5+ years experience developing and supporting IT applications;
- Ability to draft communications that are clear, concise, complete and professional;
- SQL Query skills including stored procedures, views and functions;
- Proven experience in the ability to creatively solve business problems using information systems;
- Experience with business intelligence platforms – DOMO experience a heavily weighted positive;
- Maintain documentation regarding all responsibilities described above;
- Experience with Oracle or SQL server database;
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple task assignments;
- Tableau experience.
