Our company is looking for a Construction Assistant Project Manager to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Refine scope of work and order of magnitude costs through due diligence and estimating;
  • Input, edit, update and manage retention of project data within required project management databases;
  • Oversee compliance to project closeout processing routines;
  • Manage project related risk to insure they do not adversely impact project or Moss Cape;
  • Assist in coordination of consultants, meetings and drawings;
  • Manage and process change orders;
  • Prepare contract and change orders documentation for subcontractors and customers;
  • Establish and maintain site safety plan and ensure all activities on project sites comply with the approved plan;
  • Prepare project records including but not limited to: weekly project status reports, SWPPP, project buyout, project files and correspondence;
  • Manage the permitting process from initial approvals to final Certificate of Occupancy;
  • Manage the design team and construction contractors during the development process;
  • Maintain project logs;
  • Solicit bids and retain the development team for each project;
  • Assist in the coordinate between Project Managers and Superintendents;
  • Project planning, scheduling and coordination of all the Utility Scopes.

Requirements:

  • Ability to prioritize and manage time;
  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel and estimating software (i.e. Planswift, OST);
  • ERP systems / CRM is a plus;
  • High degree of professionalism;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications;
  • Position may include working outside of normal working hours as necessary;
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills;
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work in fast-paced environment;
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and independently;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills;
  • OSHA-30 certification;
  • Understanding of scheduling logic/constraints;
  • Demonstrates written and oral communication skills; ability to write formal letters, invoices, documents;
  • Previous water/waste water project experience is preferred;
  • Good Communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to facilitate client/owner meetings, negotiations, etc.
