Our company is looking for a Landscape Supervisor to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Direct and train foremen and crew members;
  • Sell and manage landscape contracts that include mowing, maintenance, planting, and install services to residential, commercial, and municipal clients;
  • Monitor project activities to ensure instructions are followed and deadlines met;
  • Accurately complete daily paperwork;
  • Can lift up to 50 pounds;
  • Obtain a DOT medical card;
  • Execute all company and industry safety policies, and reporting procedures for accidents/incidents and near misses;
  • Pass pre-employment and random drug screening;
  • Travel within the Washington D.C. and Baltimore metropolitan areas required;
  • Evaluate crew performance;
  • Supervise maintenance of crew trucks and equipment, and keep good repair, clean and ready for service, and report all equipment issues to mechanic;
  • Communicate regularly with clients and crew-members;
  • Inspect completed work to ensure conformance with specifications.

Requirements:

  • Thorough knowledge of plant materials;
  • Ability to organize a fast-paced schedule;
  • Must be energetic, self-motivated, and thoroughly organized;
  • Knowledge of Skid Steer and related installation equipment;
  • Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record;
  • Ability to manage crews and contractors;
  • E-Verify, background, and/or drug screening will be required;
  • Ability to interpret plot plans and landscape plans;
  • Hardscape installation experience is required;
  • Experience operating heavy equipment such as a skid loader;
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Knowledge of trees, landscape plants, annuals, perennials, and horticultural practices;
  • Valid Driver’s License with Clean Driving record;
  • Ability to obtain CDL;
  • Experience in utilizing landscape power tools such as air spade, soil vac, and chain saw.
